Pasta is a traditional meal meant to be enjoyed with loved ones. I make pasta once a week as a tradition because it brings meaning and value to my life. This rewarding recipe is a comforting, delicious addition to any weekly meal shared around the table.
What you will need
- Flour (All purpose, 00, whole wheat)
- Egg
- Salt
- Olive Oil
- KitchenAid Mixer
- Pasta Attachments (optional)
- Tongs
- Rolling pin
- Pot

Ingredients
These ingredients make 1 serving of pasta:
- 1 Egg
- 1/2 Cup Flour of Choice
How to make the pasta
- Step 1: Place 1/2 cup flour in mixing bowl
- Step 2: Attach paddle and turn on mixer for 5 seconds to make a well in the dough.
- Step 3: Crack one egg and add it to the bowl.
- Step 4: Using the paddle attachment, mix the flour and egg for about 40 seconds.
- Step 5: Replace the paddle with a dough hook and continue for about 40 seconds.
- Step 6: Transition your pasta dough to a flour worked service and knead the dough for 7-10 minutes.
- Step 7: Wrap your dough in plastic wrap and let rest for 30 minutes to an hour.
- Step 8: Dust your dough and begin rolling out.
- Step 9: Attach pasta press attachment and flatten the pasta.
- Step 10: Attach spaghetti or fettucine attachment and cut the pasta.
- Step 11: Transfer your fresh pasta to a salted boiling pot of water and cook for 3-4 minutes.
- Step 12: Strain your pasta and add back to the pot. Add olive oil and mix.
